1/3/07: Jack Berno - Hip Hop Artist

The latest featured design is a branding for the Columbus, Ohio hip-hop artist Jack Berno. Berno, a.k.a. 13, wanted a recognizable brand for his upcoming album, "67 North Paint Street."

Through discussions with Berno, I realized he wanted to have his own name and his stage name conveyed in a single icon. I then began working on a brand that has dual visual meanings. You'll see the letter B, which represents his last name, and at the same time you'll see the numeral 13, Berno's lucky number and stage name.

Jack Berno plans on using his new identity for his upcoming album and also plans on creating apparel for his fans using this brand.
